Jobs - Garden Maintenance Horticulturalist

Modica Gardens are a growing Cheltenham based business and are looking to hire experienced gardeners to look after a collection of private gardens in and around Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswold area.

You will be expected to work as part of a small team, as well as help in guiding younger/less experienced team members so they can gain more knowledge and experience.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Maintaining kitchen gardens,

• Producing organic fruit and Veg,

• Propagation,

• Formal beds/borders,

• Manicured lawns,

• Topiary and hedges,

• Annual plant and garden management

• Use of garden machinery, (keep in good working order)

• Care of the ponds, lakes and surrounding areas

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge of working in gardens to a high standard, an understanding of managing seasonal changes and dealing with plants with the correct horticultural practice. Ideally a relevant qualification in horticulture such as RHS level 2/3 or a comprehensive understanding of plants, including botanical names, pests, and disease and maintenance requirements. A clean driving is required along with PA1/PA6 Spraying certificate, it would be beneficial to have a Chainsaw licence however not essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
