• Water-wise: Deep-rooted seaside species selected to withstand long periods of drought and look fantastic from mid-spring to September.
• Long season of Colour: Soft pastel tones of bell-flower and poppy give way to acid yellow bedstraw comingling with metallic-blue seas hollies.
• Minimal Weeding: By laying down a thick layer of seeding mulch over the soil, weeds are naturally suppressed from below and unable to establish themselves in this scheme.
• Low maintenance: Once the mix has established and balanced out – all it needs is a single Winter cutback
• Best for front gardens: An ideal mix for a Sunny spot, with tall flower spikes visible from the house and from the road. Thinking of replacing that patch of useless front lawn? This is the mix.
Installation

After removing the lawn, we install a crisp wood edge and spread a layer of sand over the area. Depending on the time of year we add in bulbs beneath the sand, before broadcasting a blend of specially selected seeds and covering over with a biodegradable netting.
Maintenance
(from £15 per sqm, per year)
For this scheme we carry out two weeding visits in the Spring, one Summer round of deadheading, one Autumn check-in and one Winter cutback. All materials, labour and expenses included in this price. We ask that clients water their new meadows well for the first 3-month period (and Summer dry spells).
