Our client for this garden in Painswick asked for our help with designing their garden to zone spaces for their young children to play and for the adults to relax and entertain. Our design addressed the fundamental layout of the garden; we opened up the space to make it more useable, with a large lawn for the children to play on, and several distinct seating areas, including a large dining terrace, a sun terrace and a shaded seating terrace, surrounded by lush, Japanese-inspired planting and water. We carefully chose materials to work in harmony with the existing materials used to build the house, ensuring the garden feels connected with its surroundings.
