Waves of colour
stow-on-the-wold - 2021 - planting
From dry, patchy front lawn to a beautiful meadow bursting with colour and wildlife! We’ve transformed this client’s unused front garden, stripping the lawn and replacing it with a tapestry of bulbs, a seeded native meadow and complementing grasses and wild flowers. As we head into Spring, the garden transforms into a sea of tulips and daffodils in shades of purple, pink and white, and the Summer months now see the garden come to life as Rudbeckia, Aster and Miscanthus take over the show.
As we face rising temperatures with increased periods of drought it may be time to rethink our lawns. Just take a look at what else could be planted instead to stand up to these conditions!
